If you’re looking for our Sales & Operations Manager today he’s out on the green doing his bit to help raise much needed funds for the Salvation Army.
Mat is a guest of The REI and Law Society who are hosting this years Salvation Army Charity Golf Day, held at The Vintage in Pokolbin.

In addition to participating in the game, SCHILLER Australia have also proudly donated the FRED Easy AED. This semi-automatic defibrillator, FRED® Easy AED, offers visible and audible instructions as well as a user friendly LCD screen making resuscitation more simple and effective.
While he’s on the course Mat will be sharing the lifesaving secrets of Automated External Defibrillator’s (AED). Many Australian cities and businesses are still currently without access to defibrillators and a chance to save lives during a cardiac emergency. Schiller encourages local businesses and governments to identify areas in their community where an AED could be installed to help reduce the risk of death by cardiac arrest.
The risk of cardiac arrest exists everywhere and is relevant to everyone, including those on the Golf Course. Immediate action from bystanders is required as the chance of survival from sudden cardiac arrest decreases by approximately 10% for every minute that passes before defibrillation. With golf being a sport popular with the older generation the risk of a cardiac emergency is higher and golf courses, like other places in the community where groups of people may gather, need to be prepared.
Keep an eye on our twitter feed during the day as Mat will be live tweeting and sharing photos throughout.
